Note From The Board – Jan 2015
Note From The Unite4Africa Board – Jan 2015 – Ken Martin
It’s a new year and all of us at U4A are thankful to be serving in this ministry. And we would like to send a special thank you to those who support Unite 4 Africa with their time, effort, prayer and finances. We strive to maximize this support to serve our brothers and sisters physical, emotional, economical and spiritual needs in Africa. We are resolute in our philosophy to transform communities by empowering the individual to take responsibility for each of the above listed four areas within their domain. As we come along side them with self sustainable means and technologies, to make possible their personal and village transformations goals. This work is all done in the hope that as we unite the body of Christ, and communities are transformed in His name, we will see larger impacts come as surrounding communities take notice and then desire to also be transformed by Christ.
We have a dedicated staff on the ground in Africa who are the eyes, ears and hands of the organization moving within and between the villages where lives are changing and conditions are improving, where there is new hope. None of this would be possible without our supporters and the wisdom and guidance of our founder, Okongo Samson. As a board member I see the integrity and character lived out in the lives and choices made by all involved, where the organization is concerned, from the men on the ground overseas to those who serve on the board. It is a cohesive group, a dedicated group.
Our most urgent needs right now are for vehicles in Kenya and Ethiopia (one each) for the work that goes on there and to finish a water well project for the Maasai people in southwestern Kenya where the drought wiped out their herds. Please help us by donating right now to these needs. If you would like more information on the above needs, the organization, or would like to invite Okongo for a visit, please contact us as [email protected].
God’s blessings to all who serve, sustain, and grow U4A to do His work!
Sincerely
Ken Martin
